Meeting for Monte 2021

  "EVENTO ON-LINE"

Cari Amici,

come sapete quest’anno non abbiamo potuto, per la seconda volta, realizzare il Monte San Savino Show.

Siamo tristi per questo, in particolare perché per un altro anno ancora non ci vedremo in questo luogo un po' magico che fa da cornice alle nostre passioni.

Quest’anno abbiamo pensato di realizzare, un piccolo evento online di due giorni, che si svolgerà proprio durante le date del Monte, il 13 e 14 Novembre e che prevederà alcune dimostrazioni live di pittura e scultura e una serata live con molti ospiti per parlare della storia del Monte e delle nostre idee sul futuro.

Avremo tantissimi ospiti, sia dal vivo che non! Siete curiosi di sapere chi saranno?

Dear Friends                                     

as you know this year we could not, for the second time, realize Monte San Savino Show.

We are sad about this, especially because for yet another year we won't see each other in this somewhat magical place that is the setting for our passions.

This year, however, we will be doing a small two-day online event that will take place right during the dates of the Monte, November 13 and 14, and will include some live painting and sculpture demonstrations and a live evening with many guests to talk about the history of the Monte and our ideas about the future.

We will have lots of guests, both live and not! Are you curious to know who they will be?

Monte San Savino Show 2021

 

Cari amici, questo non è un annuncio che avremmo voluto scrivere più; un anno fa ci siamo dati appuntamento a quest’anno con la speranza che quei troppi metri che avremmo dovuto mettere fra di noi, non sarebbero più stati necessari. Che il mondo sarebbe potuto tornare normale. 

Abbiamo passato gli scorsi mesi a valutare tutte lo opzioni per organizzare un Monte San Savino accettabile: le regole, le limitazioni, le possibilità. 

Ma alla fine la realtà è che abbiamo dovuto accettare che purtroppo non ci sono ancora le condizioni per potervi dare il Monte che vi meritate.

Noi viviamo Monte San Savino come un evento comunitario che ogni anno permette al nostro mondo di incontrarsi, condividere arte e buonumore, convivialità e passione.

Un anno fa scrivemmo che non avremmo mai voluto immaginare di dover stare a un metro da voi, e questo vale ancora oggi. 

Non sappiamo come le cose cambieranno nel 2022; se davvero ci permetteranno di tornare a vivere completamente, ma siamo fiduciosi che saranno comunque migliori quel tanto che basta per permetterci di tornare di nuovo insieme a varcare la porta del Monte e salire insieme le scale del Cassero.

La prossima edizione del Monte sarà il 15esimo anniversario della nostra mostra, lo festeggeremo insieme, festeggiando anche, ne siamo certi, la fine dell’anno che segnerà il ritorno degli eventi, della vita. 

Abbiamo tante idee, lavoreremo giorno dopo giorno per realizzare qualcosa di grande e se voi, come siamo certi, sarete con noi, daremo vita a un Monte indimenticabile, che profumi di un nuovo inizio, proiettato verso il futuro.

 Vi diamo però una notizia importante. 

Nei giorni che avrebbero dovuto essere del Monte, 12-13-14 Novembre 2021, realizzeremo per voi un evento online celebrativo a cui sarete invitati a partecipare: per parlare di miniature, arte, della storia del Monte e del Futuro, insieme ad ospiti importanti. 

Questo non ci ridarà il nostro concorso, né lenirà la ferità che la sua assenza provoca, ma sarà un modo per passare del tempo insieme, raccontandoci delle cose belle che abbiamo fatto e soprattutto di quelle che faremo.

Una regola che il Nostro evento ha sempre applicato di prendersi cura delle persone prima che dei soldatini: quest’anno avremmo potuto assicurare con facilità la seconda, ma non sufficientemente la prima.

E le persone per noi sono il Monte, Voi lo siete.

Vi aspettiamo, con le braccia aperte, sperando di poterle usare per abbracciarci di nuovo, senza impedimenti, nel 2022.

Ci saremo, ci sarete. Lo sappiamo.

Dear friends, this is not an announcement we would have liked to write again; a year ago we decided to wait for 2021 with the hope that those too many meters that we would have had to put between us would no longer be necessary. That the world could go back to normal.

We have spent the past few months evaluating all the options for organizing an acceptable Monte San Savino: the rules, the limitations, the possibilities.

But in the end the reality is that we had to accept that unfortunately the conditions are not yet in place to be able to give you the Monte you deserve.

We live Monte San Savino as a community event that every year allows our world to meet, share art and good humor, conviviality and passion.

A year ago we wrote that we never wanted to imagine having to stay within one meter from you, and this still applies today.

We don't know how things will change in 2022; if they will really allow us to go back to life completely, but we are confident that they will still be better enough to allow us to come back together again to cross the door of the Monte and climb the Cassero stairs together.

The next edition of Monte will be the 15th anniversary of our exhibition, we will celebrate it together, also celebrating, we are sure, the end of the year that will mark the return of events, of life.

We have many ideas, we will work day after day to achieve something great and if you, as we are sure, will be with us, we will give life to an unforgettable event, which smells of a new beginning, projected towards the future.

However, we give you some important news.

In the days that should have been Monte, 12-13-14 November 2021, we will create a celebratory online event for you to which you will be invited to participate: to talk about miniatures, art, the history of Monte and the Future, together with important guests .

This will not give us back our competition, nor will it alleviate the wound that its absence causes, but it will be a way to spend time together, telling us about the beautiful things we have done and above all the ones we will do.

A rule that our event has always applied is to take care of people rather than figures: this year we could have easily ensured the second, but not the first sufficiently.

And the people for us is Monte, you are.

We are waiting for you, with open arms, hoping to be able to use them to embrace again, without hindrance, in 2022.

We'll be there, you'll be there. We know it.

Monte San Savino Show 2020

Cari amici di Monte San Savino,

non è facile per noi scrivere questo annuncio; lo facciamo con il cuore pesante di chi ha aspettato fino all’ultimo, aggrappandosi a quella flebile speranza che, come se fosse questo 2020 un anno normale, ci saremmo rivisti a breve, in quel novembre toscano che ci unisce tutti.

Che avremmo salito e sceso di nuovo le scale del Cassero, che avremmo mangiato e bevuto insieme, che ci saremmo radunati tutti il venerdì sera a bere idromele e festeggiare la nostra bella comunità, e che alla fine avremmo celebrato a teatro una nuova edizione magnifica del nostro amato concorso.

Abbiamo studiato tutte le alternative possibili che ci potessero permettere di essere una specie di piccolo faro, a fine anno, per il futuro a venire; per poter dire: “ripartiamo da qui”.

Ma la realtà dei fatti è che non si può fare, e non solo perché è complesso organizzare tutte le procedure di sicurezza che servirebbero, ma prima di tutto e molto di più, perché semplicemente non sarebbe il MONTE.

Il Monte vive proprio della sua socialità smaccata e goliardica, vive di fatto attraverso i suoi abbracci, i suoi riti di condivisione di cibo e bevande… vive della sua unione, dello stare “tutti vicini il più possibile”, dell’occupare in parte lo spazio dell’altro ed essere partecipe di tutto il nostro piccolo mondo, tutto insieme, nello spazio più stretto e unito possibile.

Noi non vogliamo stare ad un metro da voi!

Noi quel metro lo vogliamo eliminare; vogliamo eliminare tutti i metri che possano separare chi condivide il nostro magnifico piccolo mondo.

E allora è col cuore pesante che annunciamo che Monte San Savino Show 2020 non si terrà…

Ma è con lo stesso cuore, colmo di speranza, che vi annunciamo che ci vedremo del 2021, con la certezza dell’ottimismo che lo faremo senza mascherine, senza paure e senza metri che ci separano, perché fra tutti noi non devono esserci nemmeno centimetri.

Vi riabbracceremo tutti, uno ad uno, a Novembre 2021.

Le mura del Monte, saranno li, di nuovo, pronte ad accogliervi.

It's not easy for us to write this announcement, we do it with the heavy heart of whom has waited till the last moment, clinging to the feeble hope that, as if this 2020 was a normal year, we would have seen each other soon in that Tuscan November that unites us all.

That we would go up and down the steps of the Cassero again, that we would eat and drink together, that we would all gather on Friday night to drink mead and celebrate our beautiful community, and that, in the end, we would celebrate a magnificent new edition of our beloved contest.

We have studied all the possible alternatives that could allow us to be some kind of small beacon at the end of the year to light our future and to be able to say "we restart from here".

But the truth is that it cannot be done, not just because it's complex to organize all the security procedures needed, ma before and most of all because it wouldn't be a true MONTE.

Monte lives precisely from its blatant and goliardic sociability, it lives through its hugs, its rites of sharing of food and drinks... it lives through its union, of its "staying as close as possible", to partly occupy the space of others and being wholly part of our little world, all together, in the smallest and tightest space possible.

We don't want to be one meter apart!

We want to get rid of that meter, we want to get rid of all meters that set our beautiful tiny world apart.

It is then with a heavy heart that we announce that Monte San Savino Show 2020 will not happen...

But it's with the same heart, full of hope, that we announce that we'll see each other again in 2021, with full certainty of the optimism that we'll do it without masks, fears, and meters keeping us apart, because between us there must not be even centimeters.

We'll hug you all, one by one, in November 2021.

The walls of Monte will be there, again, ready to greet you.
